Why Community Learning Matters in Johannesburg

EducationCommunity

Education changes lives. When a community comes together to learn — regardless of age, background, or income — something powerful happens.

A Church That Serves

At Johannesburg Bible Study Church, we believe our calling extends beyond our Wednesday Bible study. We want to be a resource for the people of Sandton and greater Johannesburg in practical ways.

That is why we offer free classes — including our Sunday Korean class. These are not programs to attract people to church. They are genuine acts of service to our neighbourhood.

Learning Together Builds Community

When people learn together, they grow together. Our Korean class brings together people who might never otherwise meet — different ages, backgrounds, and life situations, united by a shared goal. That is the beginning of real community.

I attended my first Sunday picnic with my family. The vibe was warm without being overwhelming. The kids ran around Mushroom Farm Park, the adults talked, and someone brought extra blankets for the cool afternoon.

The Korean class has become our family Sunday ritual. My wife and I take the class, the kids play. It is the only Sunday we look forward to in the month.
